• Jake Davidson draws on his experiences as both an operator and investor to offer the highest quality services to Davidson Kahn clients. Investing alongside his clients, Jake focuses on identifying high quality companies to own for the long term. He pairs this investing philosophy with a rigorous, accounting backed strategic planning approach to optimize long term wealth creation. In 2011, Jake started J. R. Davidson and Co Inc (formerly known as Davidson Global Inc.) as an electronic recycler and distributor. J. R. Davidson and Co now serves to manage all of Jake’s non-public equity investments and business interests. Jake received a full tuition merit Mork Family Scholarship at the University of Southern California as well as a Deans’ Scholarship at UCLA Law School. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from USC, a Juris Doctor from UCLA, and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California. In the community, Jake serves on the Board of Trustees at the Milken Community School and on the Board of Councilors at the USC Leventhal School of Accounting.

  • Starting his career at the Rockefeller Family Office, Alex worked with some of the most successful families and entrepreneurs in the Bay Area. He focuses on portfolio allocation and investment planning with a special emphasis on tax-strategy. Alex leverages his accounting background to assist entrepreneurs with the interplay between their corporate financial strategy and personal investment plan. Alex is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of California. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Southern California with a B.S in both Accounting and Business.

  • Drew Cohen leverages his past experience at Goldman Sachs and Capital Group to diligence investments and manage portfolios for clients. Previously, on the investment team at Capital Group, he helped manage >$5 billion of AUM and also supported Senior Analysts with broad stock coverage from consumer internet to financials. Prior to his role at Capital Group, he worked at Goldman Sachs in New York on their Global Investment Research division. Drew holds a B.S. in Accounting and a B.S. in Business from USC where he earned the Provost Research Award, the Brownella & Francis Van Deusen Endowed Scholarship award, the Chester Winebright Scholarship Award, and was a three-time recipient of the academic achievement award. Currently, Drew also produces in depth research reports through Speedwell Research, whose client list includes many hedge funds and professional investors.
